Go For Broke Association 2026 Scholarship Application guidelines deadline: March 13, 2026

Background

The Go For Broke Association announces its Scholarship Program for the year 2026 through its website, https://www.gfbassn.org, and begins accepting applications from October 1, 2025 through March 13, 2026. All completed applications must be sent, post-marked no later than March 13, 2026. The Go For Broke Association, established in 1978 as a 501 (c) (19), is a veteran’s non-profit organization. Twenty years later, the Association initiated a scholarship program to encourage Soldiers serving in the 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, United State Army Reserve, in pursuing post-secondary education, graduate or post-graduate studies. As both State and Federal governments extended education incentives, the Association extends its scholarship program to the Soldier’s immediate. Today, the Association’s Scholarship Program provides current life members, Soldiers and immediate family members of active reservist assigned to the 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, and a Life Member’s grandchildren with up to $4,000.00 awards to students attending a post-graduate, or post-secondary institution, or to high school seniors that have received acceptance to an institute of higher education. The Go For Broke Association strives to: • Preserve the legacy of “Go For Broke” spirit, established by the World War II nisei veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion, the 442d Regimental Combat Team, and continued through the Soldiers of the 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, from the Vietnam, Iraq, and Kuwait conflicts. • Provide incentives for the Association’s Life Members, Soldiers of the 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, and/or family members to pursue post-secondary education. • Assist students enrolled in institutes of higher education with the costs of post-secondary education.
