On August 14, 2004, The Unit of the 100th Battalion 442nd Infantry United States Army Reserve (USAR) have been call up to serve for the United States of America and fight along the side of 29th Infantry Brigade of the Hawaii National Guard in Operation Iraqi Freedom III.  Soldiers came from American Samoa, Guam, CNMI Saipan, Hilo, Alaska, Honolulu and many parts of the United States to gather and train at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii to Fort Bliss, Texas to Fort Polk, Lousiana to Kuwait and futher on to the Camping Grounds of LSA Anaconda Iraq, you have made us proud to be part of the Go For Broke Battalion.

Without the effort and contributions to the security of our naton. I cannot tell how much your sacrifices and service to our contry means to me and your fellow soldiers.  You have accomplished much during the mobilizations.  Each of you have contributed in different ways.  Each mission was different. But whatever the mission, whatever the task, you have successfully accomplished them all.

As you look back on the past year, remembert that there have been good times as well as difficutl times.  Take time once a year to remembert our fallen soldiers.  The gave up their lives to help improve the conditions for the Iraqi populace.  It has been difficult for us but we must remembert and support each other as on family.  I pray everyday for our families and friends.

You have all given up much to help the Iraqi people in their struggle against the insurgency.  Be proud of your service.  I am proud of you and proud to have been given the opportunity to serve with you.

God bless you and your family.

Go For Broke

Sincerely,
Colbert K.H. Low
